Super Swing Adventure

Quick Overview:

Super Swing Adventure is a hyper-casual endless runner in-development by the mobile team of Floating Island Studios. It's premise is admittedly simple, you control a small ball attached to a rope, trying to navigate a randomly generated environment of escalating difficulty whilst collecting coins. The goal is to get as far as you can before you  meet your inevitable doom.

Project Goals:

The main goals of this project are to:

  • Release our first Mobile game on the Google PlayStore

  • Experiment with tile-based level editors without limiting our system complexity

  • Develop a feature-complete module-based randomly generated level system that smoothly scales in difficulty as the player progresses

  • Further establish the mobile team as a functional game development unit

  • Gain experience in mobile-specific development, SDKs, patching and live services

  • Take marketing actions to promote the game and increase its commercial viability

Post-Mortem:

To be Determined.

My main workload on this project is planning and implementing gameplay and live service features as a game designer, maintaining documentation regarding module and tile attributes, level design modules using Tiled, as well as drafting out the UX and Menu assets as needed.
